What Makes Clara Different From Other Apps?
What makes Clara different from other apps is what makes Araya different from other PBMs. The Clara app is designed to direct patients to the most economical choice for the patients as well as the plan sponsor. Clara provides integration between benefits management and pharmacy needs using personalized data directly linked to the unique employee benefits.
This means that Clara leverages Araya’s transparent pricing model to give patients access to the price that Araya pays. We design benefits to allow patients to take advantage of this model. With the app, we can show the patient their options in real time even before they go to the pharmacy. If the patient decides to choose a more cost effective alternative, the app allows them to request the change through the prescriber or the pharmacy.
Other PBMs have apps with similar functionality. Some are even as capable of showing patients the PBM preferred alternatives. For the most part the alternatives will be the best selection for the PBM. Clara is the only app that is always working in the best interest of the patient. It is your virtual pharmacist.
How Do You Use Clara?
Clara can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and from Google Play. This makes it easy for users to access the app on their devices and install using a format familiar to them. No special sites are necessary for accessing the app.
Once the app is downloaded, members will use their Araya Member ID to sign into the app and then enter in their personal information. After entering their information into the app, they’ll receive a confirmation email with an activation code so that they can finish their registration process.
Once connected to the Clara App, users will receive notifications about savings on their prescription medications. They can then use one click to request a switch – either for a new pharmacy or a new medication.
