Patrick has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has held numerous positions in the healthcare field from practitioner to manager to executive. Prior to launching Araya he was president of NMHCRx; a publicly traded Pharmacy Benefit Manager located Port Washington, New York. As President of NMHCRx, he oversaw all operational and clinical areas of PBM services as well as several corporate functions. During his 20 years in the PBM industry he has worked with MCOs, Labor Groups, Municipalities and Government Organizations. He has worked in Product Development Sales, Client Services and Operations. Today he uses his breadth of experience to assist his clients in maximizing the value of their pharmacy benefit.
He is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and the American Association of Health Plans. Mr. McLaughlin earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy where he also served as President of the Alumni Association and as a member of the Presidential Search Committee. He earned his MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College. He has spoken at industry conferences including AMCP and PBMI.
